markcoatney: ckck: “Check for Two Murders”, circa 1939. Weegee spent much of his career photographing the underbelly of New York City, and his checks were seemingly as macabre as his subjects. Henry Luce was notoriously cheap when it came to eliminating his enemies, often demanding discounts for bulk work.
